The Commencement of UFMPAD
Alhamdulillah, a concerned Da'ee from one of the Islamic Centers in Jeddah initiated a call to have an open discussions with the du'at and volunteers from the different Islamic Centers in Jeddah concerning the Filipino Muslims situation particularly in the Philippines and in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The first meeting was held at the Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance in Al-Sinaiyah in February 2005 attended by the Du'at of the different Islamic Centers such as Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance in East Jeddah represented by Brother Ibrahim Romas, Jeddah Dawah Center represented by Saleh Ratag, Islamic Education Foundation represented by Ustadz Badie and the host Center represented by Mohammad Amin Rodriguez. There were more than 10 attendees on the said meeting.
The group appointed Ustadz Badie as Chairman Pro Tempore and Alzenri Kunting as Secretary. Brain storming was going on during the first meeting on how the group can assist and help the Filipino Muslims situations.
After the first meeting, the group meets twice a month at the different location to discuss more ideas and opinions until the group decided to organize themselves to enhance the primary objective. Hence, the birth of the United Filipino Muslims for Peace and Development on May 2005.
On June 2005, the group elected the Set of Officers and the Board of Trustees. The Organizational Set-up was established.

The United Filipino Muslims for Peace and Development (UFMPAD), which was organized in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia under the auspices of the Philippine Consulate General, is inviting Filipino Muslims to join in its mission and tasks toward the advancement of peace and development in the Philippines and in its part in the world through the promotion of Islam, in the light of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, (sallalahu 'alayhi wassaallam).
