It is simply my view on a group of good brothers who I believe in my limited knowledge to be making lapses. I love those brothers and I really do respect them just as I love anyone who loves the deen of Allah.
I would like to make one thing clear. I am in no way attacking the concept of creating groups. Joining a group which you agree with is important and good for the Muslims and as an individual Muslim. However the group should have a purpose that makes it unique from other groups otherwise it creates un-needed divisions. To create a group with no particular purpose, with no particular difference between it and other groups, with nothing that makes it a viable group except for the title they hold as it is of the same concept as the rest of the individuals within the ummah, is just creating divisions with absolutely no point. You can create a group to, say, Unite Filipino Muslim if you see the other groups working towards that aim are doing it incorrectly. You can create a group to teach the Muslims Islam if you see the other groups working towards that aim are doing it incorrectly. But to create a group which only has one claim and that is to be following the same concept to be carrying.
Unfortunately, we as members do not seem to know who our officers now in Ufmpad are and what is going on in reference to the Mission and Vision as stated.
Is Ufmpad on path with the many previous Islamic groups of before, “here today and gone tomorrow”?
1. Who are our officers running the group now?
2. What are the planned missions toward the peace and development in the Philippines, when we could not even feel unity and peace among the many “Balik Islam” here in Saudi Arabia.
3. How Ufmpad path to the promotion of islam when while we see some Ufmpad members do not educate their own family members towards the practice of Islamic religious duties? (Are Ufmpad not reminded of the way our Prophet did, educate your families first).
4. Or that Ufmpad are active only with government and consular visits?
5. As mentioned, the main purpose of Ufmpad is to maaintain and strengthen the unity of Filipino Muslim, develop mutual love and brotherhood. Are Ufmpad officers and members sure of this slogan? Are we “Balik Islam” unified and with love?
I will remain “Concerned” Muslim till these questions are discussed among you Ufmpad.
Do not waste time asking who is or are these “concerned” posting this message. You Ufmpad have a very important task to solve, DO YOU REALLY ONWARDS TO VISION AND MISSION?
Quote – “The UFMPAD came to be organized in the acknowledgment of the reminder from Surat Ar-Ra'd 13:11 (translation of the meaning): "Allah changes not the condition of a people as long as they have not changed the state of their being. But once Allah wills a punishment for a people, there is no turning back for it, neither will they find anyone besides Him for their protectio.."

Praise be to Allah and blessings and Peace be Upon His Chosen Prophet and upon his family and companions and those who followed his example. I just opened the site and felt obliged to share some views though I may not be able to address all the concerns due to restricted time. Alhamdullillah, your concerns is a manifestation that UFMPAD can indeed be an effective and credible forum to discuss the plight of the Filipino Muslims. Criticism is very important, especially if it is constructive and not divisive. Hindi binabato ang isang punongkahoy na namumunga kung ito ay walang bunga.
The organization is under the current stewardship of Bro. Mohd. Moncatar as Chairman and Bro. Omar Gabuya as Vice-Chairman, supported by other known brothers from different centers as officers. As I've stated before, the org. is in the process of restructuring and a big push is on the planning this coming Muharram to strengthen its leadership wherein we welcome the infusion of new officials with leadership and capability to usher the org. into its new stage.
Let us bind ourselves into the rope of Islam through the Qur'an and Sunnah. This will answer most of the concern that you raised. The Education Commitee has been specifically mandated to ensure implementation of programs for officers, members and "concerned" Muslims that wll lead us in this direction as this is the key for a strong brotherhood. Consequently, all other future efforts will be easy for us to fulfill because Islam binded us "tulad ng isang matibay na walis na nagkakabuklod at di kayang baliin".
I cannot pass judgment as to the taste of a particular food if I have not tasted it myself. May be if you will witness the efforts of those brothers who are willing to sacrifice their time, health and efforts for the cause of the org., you may have a more positive perspective about the organization. I reiterate my invitation to you to be more involved, in words and in action. You can remain "concerned" and "unidentified" but will we can be unified in making the words of Allah SWT reign supreme in this world. I need to say many things but my time is up. I am looking forward to the time that we will be side by side, like our two pairs of hands, kapwa nagtutulungan. I need to learn from you. Jazakhallah Khayr!
